Description

Legend has it that the game was invented by a French nobleman imprisoned in the Bastille. The game is very popular in France. (Available in several sizes) A puzzle game for one or more players. The object of the game: to remove all but one peg from the board, leaving a single peg in the center of the board. Gameplay: Arrange all 32 pegs on the board, leaving the central hole empty. You can only move on the board by jumping over another peg, provided that the hole after it is empty (meaning you cannot jump over more than one peg). A peg that has been jumped over is removed from the board. Movement on the board is done vertically or horizontally in any direction but not diagonally. The game ends when a victory is achieved, a single peg in the center, or when it is no longer possible to jump over a peg and cause its removal - the game "gets stuck". If more than one player plays, you can: think and play together to achieve victory. Each player plays alone until they can no longer move. If the game "gets stuck", count the number of pegs in this state. The second player tries. Whoever manages to leave the fewest pegs on the board wins.
